Privacy

What happens to your email address if you join the mailing list.

What’s kept

Your email address. Kit, the service that sends the emails, also records when you signed up and whether you open the emails and click the links in them.

What it’s used for

Emails about the books: when a new one is coming, its date and its cover, and the occasional bit of news. Nothing else, and your address is never sold or handed to anyone. You agree to this when you sign up and click the link in the confirmation email.

Who holds it

The mailing list is kept with Kit, a company based in the United States, so your address is stored there. You can read Kit’s privacy policy.

How long for

Until you unsubscribe. Every email has an unsubscribe link at the bottom, and using it takes you off the list straight away.

Your rights

You can ask for a copy of what’s held about you, or ask for it to be corrected or deleted, by replying to any of the emails. If you’re unhappy with how your details have been handled, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.

This website

The site doesn’t run adverts, analytics or tracking cookies. It’s hosted by Cloudflare, which handles each visit to keep the site running and secure.
